Accessing the Active Directory
Hullo
Im workin in the IT department of our local telcom. Our environment includes a DHCP, DNS1 and DNS2 all based on W2k.
I used to run W2k/XP on my workstation then migrated to Linux, SuSE8.1
So far everyhting is cool; I can share and mount files and folders in our domain, i can print via TCP, browse the Local intranet as well as send/recieve mail.
The only thing which is almost forcing me to go back to Windows is that I have no way of querying the Active Directory on our W2k Server.
If anyone knows of a way to do so pleaz let me know.

What kind of queries did you need to be able to do? I'm not sure how much you can get to if you address your AD DC as an LDAP server.
cheers

Have you tried talking to it as an LDAP server? I know you can, but I've never tried myself.
