Accessing hotmail, other https sites

I'm running RH 9.0 and using Konqeror as my browser. Everytime I try to enter an HTTPS site, I get an error like this:

An error occured while loading [url]https://loginnet.passpor

Could not connect to host loginnet.passport.com

What's the deal? Can it be resolved somehow, or is this an issue with Konqueror?

does konqueror, like mozilla, have a psm?
try using mozilla - ull need mozilla-psm along with it to use https site.

Mozilla works fine as is, but Konqueror does not.
