Access-Your-Private-Data.desktop what does it mean?

Hello all!

Well I just pluged up my old server cuz I needed an old mysql base and some files for a website, but here's the problem, when I try to ge tot the files all I get is:

Access-Your-Private-Data.desktop

Inside the file:
Quote:

[Desktop Entry]
_Name=Access Your Private Data
_GenericName=Access Your Private Data
Exec=/usr/bin/ecryptfs-mount-private
Terminal=true
Type=Application
Categories=System;Security;
X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=ecryptfs-utils
OK so basically I tried with the command written in the file:
/usr/bin/ecryptfs-mount-private

But I get:
Quote:

shorto@shorto:~$ /usr/bin/ecryptfs-mount-private
Enter your login passphrase:
The thing is my user password does not work (since it's ubuntu there is only one password), so I'm kinda stumped as to what to do here.

Please help,
shorto

When you encrypted that directory, you somewhere along the line got a warning to set a passphrase (which is not the same as your password). That's the one that you need to enter.

If you never set it up or forgot it, I wish you good luck in recovering.

Quote:

shorto@shorto:~$ sudo /usr/bin/ecryptfs-mount-private
Enter your login passphrase:
Inserted auth tok with sig [624b5bbd4bcf0b63] into the user session keyring
fopen: No such file or directory
shorto@shorto:~$
Lol simpy ENTER apparently works...

fopen? Ideas? :)

--------------------------------
Figured it out, also figured out why this happened, apparently because I ran out of electricity a couple of times;

Quote:

THIS DIRECTORY HAS BEEN UNMOUNTED TO PROTECT YOUR DATA.
Anyways now it works thank you for your inputs!

Hi shorto. I also have the same problem. Would you mind sharing the solution, please? Thanks.
