access usb device using c/c++
 

i am working on the project for enabling the transmission between an usb device and a wifi device via an embedded kit. And truly speaking i have no idea how to start with it. if u can plz help me with this and tell me how can i access the connected usb device using c/c++. By 'access' i mean see the contents and transfer the required files.
