access to windows

i finally got my linux and windows xp connected to my router and working right.

can someone point me in the direction if i want to access my windows through my router with my linux box?

i think it has somehting to do with samba, but i'm thinking thats for direct connect or something.

thanks for any help

linux fedora 3(desktop)

windows xp(laptop)

linksys router BEFSR41 v3

Well, it does not have to be direct connect. Make sure you have installed samba-client first before proceeding. To check, type rpm -qa | grep samba-client .
