access to mail on local lan
 

Hi

i want to be able to access mail from my windows 2000 workstation using outlook 2002.

My mail server is red hat 8 with sendmail.

When i try to setup the client on the windows 2000 workstation it fails on logging into the server.

I can send and receive mail via the internet but i cannot send and receive mail internally.

I have enabled ipop3 on the server and restarted the xinetd service however when i try to telnet to port 110 and port 25 on the server it says connection refused.

How do i enable port 110 and port 25 to work on the internal lan only?
