access rights
 

I installed mandy 7.2 but i can't access the cd rom or floppy . I get a message that says :unable to enter file /mt/cd rom you do not have access rights to this location. I am in root so what next?
any help would be appreciated

Edit your /etc/fstab file as an owner for floppy and cdrom put user, that's about it I believe.

I read your post and while I know it makes sense to you. I haven't a clue as to where to start to edit that file. I am really new to this and am reading as much stuff as possible but I still don't know where to begin to edit the /etc/fstab file

neo77777, means to add user to your cdrom and floppy drive entries in your /etc/fstab file. Like this:

Ex:

/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 user,noauto,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy vfat user,noauto,rw 0 0
