Question ac97 problem (slackware 8.1)

hi!
i am a complete newbie and just installed slackware 8.1 to my computer. but my on board ac 97 doesn't work? what can i do? please help

I had a very inelegant solution to the same problem. I purchased a Linksys 10/100 Lan card and all was good with the world.


The same thing happened with Vector Linux 3.0
