absolutely newbie, want to learn CLI
I am absolutely new to linux. I see it as the future. I am looking at it as I looked at Dos 20 years ago (I stumbled then, am a certified? IT manager now). My question is "I have no desire for GUI until I can master the CLI in this operating system. Where can I find good help or recommended written books on learning from a CLI?!". Please don't send me to mordor, I just want to learn and leave redmond. Thanx in advance.

Linux in a Nutshell http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/linuxnut3/ provides info for common linux commands and their flags used. Also from O'Reilly I suggest take a delve into books dedicated to command line text editors - emacs, vi, others.
