Question Abit AT7 + MDK 9.0

Sorry if anyone else has already posted something about this but I've had a look on linuxquestion.org forum, on abits home page and searched various search engines and I can't find a thing.

So heres my problem. I'm trying to install Mandrake 9.0 from DVD, now I've got as far as selecting a RAID drvier so it will detect my hard drives...im currently using HPT 374 with windows XP which works fine. But I can't seem to get linux to detect theres any drives there. The disk provided with the Motherboard (AT7 MAX Legacy Free) only has windows 9x and xp/2k RAID drivers which are no good, and I've been through all the driver options it gives with the MDK DVD and none of them work.

Any ideas anyone...I should probably mention im a totally linux newbie, I've installed MDK 7.2 before but haven't used it much at all (im using 2 network cards and it won't detect them but thats another story) and the computer i installed that on didn't use RAID so I haven't had to deal with it before.

Please help!

Regards,
GGFX

Also a ABIT AT7-MAX2 User

I am also trying to install Mandrake 9.0 on this board. Same problem. Can't get the installer to recognize the Highpoint raid controller.

I checked Highpoints website and they only have drivers for Red Hat and SuSe distros.

Might have to rethink to a RedHat install unless someone can help.

Good Luck
