Question abidingsavior

what is
I got an error when booting Gnome for the first time that it could not be found and i might be able to work if i add it to the /etc/hosts.
(or something to that effect)
I have never seen this before, can anyone tell me what it is?

That is really wierd. Not the message itself per se, but the fact that typing in your browser will actually take you to the web site of the Abiding SaviorLuthern Church in N. Tonawanda, NY. Scary.

I got that warning message once when I changed my computer's hostname without updating either /etc/hosts or /etc/sysconfig/network (can't remember which), but how you got a valid URL in your local config files I can't guess.

I suppose you could search you disk for files containing the string "abidingsavior" using grep, but that would take a while (to put it lightly).
