A very simple question...


...how do I know how much free space I have left on my Linux partition?

Hi!
use the "df" command, or "df -h" (see man page).
In mandrake you, also have a nice graphical tool, but I don't remember the name now... look for it in the KDE menu (if you use it )

You can also use "du -sh dir" which shows space used in dir and subdirs

The graphical program is called KDiskFree, and can usualy be found under

Applications/Monitoring/KDiskFree
