A quick question about cdp
 
Is it possible to run cdp and do other things at the same time in text mode? If so, what key do I enter in cdp so that it runs in the background?

Just open another console or terminal. If yer on the command line hit ALT+F2-F6. F1 will be the one you are already in. If you are in X (KDE,Gnome etc,...) then you can just open another terminal app eg. Eterm, konsole what have you. Gosh I hope I remember the F keys properly. lol Try it out...
