A question about Tor and Tails

hi

If you use the tor browser or tails does it make your computer part of the tor relay or the exit relay or both? thanks

Also, is there a way to check within the settings of the tor browser and tails if it is using tor relay or an exit relay?

Yeah you're right, I found a link from a tor project forum and someone asked this question already.

I guess the tor relay and exit relay are voluntary options.

Thanks to both...
