a question about partition??


I am going to install Linux server in my office. For the purpose of official work, I need to provide 1300GB(GigaByte) to a single partition.Is there any problem to do so??

Only the time it will take to make a filesystem check, but that shouldn't be too substantial either. ext3 and reiserfs should be able to handle that without any trouble.

XFS file system is not that good, but it works! Faster!

Ext3 has no problem with that size, you only need to do that with RAID0 or RAID1+0, because I dont thing there is so big HDD, maybe i'm wrong?

I am going to implement RAID5 on 18 HDDs each sizing 138GB.
