the nVidia driver problem explains the screen saver problem. The "matrix" style screen saver that you use is likely an OpenGL version. Without properly working nVidia drivers, you probably don't have OpenGL.

As far as your problems setting up the drivers, you need to be VERY specific. You need to tell us:
1) Graphics Card and Chipset
2) Motherboard chipset
3) EXACTLY what error messages you are getting in attempting to install the drivers.

As for gFTP, I have no idea what you are having problems with. Are you attempting to log in as root,... then access the files as a user??? It sounds like a permissions problem to me. Right click on the files and see who their owner is,... my 1st guess is that it is not the same as the user account that you are trying to use to access them, and you have your system set at a fairly high security level. Remember too, that when the files come across, they come across exactly as they are on the server. If the html files are referencing things that are on the server and you are not connected to it, you will end up with problems.

listen my graphic card is a geforce 4 mx 128mg
my motherboard is intel rock lake

in the past i installed the new nvidia driver with no problems but then i had fc2

now the erorr it gives me is something about a kernal interface and then it tells me that it installed a kernal interface of its own and and if i want the driver to work i need to delete some word in xorg.conf file

i dont remember the word right now but when i tried deleting this word he asked my linux could not start

then i tried the install with a fc3 tutorial this time it did start but got stuck every time in the nvidia screen and did not let me continue to the linux log in screen

thats the nvidia problem

my gftp problem is a big one....
listen mate there is no problem with my premissions or any thing like that i have a hosting package which i log onto throw ftp all the time but with gftp i cant upload or download things they get corupte
can it be a setting problem with gftp? is there a better software for ftp i can use?

and another problem i have right now is my mail problem i installed thunderbird
but i had no luck so far configering the account setting the problem is that after i inserted my pass for the first time he asked me to it was wrong but now every time i want to get mail it still remember the pass i enterd for the first time and it wont let me change it!!!! it just brings up an error message saying that the pass is wrong but with no option to change it!

plz help
