a few n00b questions...

hi there, i have a few questions that i'm sure are probably really dumb, but i'm not getting very far with odd things at the moment so i don't really know what else to do.
ok first thing, i'm having a fair amount of trouble with dependencies when installing rpms.take for example when installing dcgui-qt-0.2.20-1.i386.rpm (direct connect client gui) i get the following dependency errors:

dcgui-qt 0.2.20-1 conflict not available (this one pops up a lot) not available not available not available

they do go into more detail but i'm too tired to go into that.

the other thing i was wondering, although i'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, i'm having trouble using the msn protocol in gaim. i've loaded the plugin but when i try and sign on it says the protocol isn't supported. icq protocol works fine.

thanks a lot!

For your dependency issues install apt-rpm ( a rpm port of debians apt-get ). Don't know much about Suse but it works well with RedHat.

[root@localhost root]# apt-get install gaim
