A few install questions
Hi There.
I've got a retail copy of Suse 8.0 Professional that I want to install to a PC that has Windows already on it. I want to boot Linux and Windows together, but since Suse 8.0 still uses LILO, and I find GRUB easier to set up, I'm totally stumped. Also, the partitioning section is more confusing than Diskdrake, and even the partitioning program on Suse 9.0. Can anyone give me a few pointers please? Thank you |
The easiest thing to do would be not to install the bootloader to the MBR but make sure you make a boot disk. You can then boot into Linux and install grub from:
http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/ I'm not really sure what to say about the partitions - what is it that is troubling you? |
