There are lots of ways to locate objects using a cell phone. You'll need to be more specific, or use a patent attourney.

A/c to him...he will be using RFID and IPv6 together to locate the objects nearby cell phones??

Pls help me in providing the actual proof so that I can produde in front of me therein.

You mean he wants to put an rfid tag on something he wants to keep track of, using a cell phone as a detection/tracking device? Or something more esoteric?

I bet there's a patent covering what your boss has in mind. Does he understand the limitations of rfid? Does he realise that he will need to reveal much more if he wants to investigate his idea for prior art and existing inventions.

More esoteric? I have seen a cell+gps system in a large asset like a car or a boat - this means you can call your asset and ask it where it is, and get the asset to call you if it is being moved without permission.

Thanks for the resources.Thats Enough.Actlly he is talkign abt RFID being tracked globally is not yet implemented since RFID is for a fixed concentrated area.he means that if one RFID enabled camera is in US then while you are in any other country you can track easily through RFID-ipv6 mapping tracking.

There is no way an individual rfid tag can broadcast across town never mind globally.
There would need to be a way to get these things to network - possible. Think what cell-phones need... though one could try the kind of network envisaged by the OLPC project. Nonetheless, think of the power requirements of broadcasting all the time.

Frankly, the idea of that kind of a net worries me. This is Not A Good Thing - thieves will circumvent the system, and honest folk will have their every movement traceable by anyone with a cellphone.

The other cell-phone approach works better. Expensive though.

Sounds like your boss is from the "technology = magic" school. Does he have any ideas for free energy or perpetual motion devices?
