?????
Hi everyone, this is my first post so try not to laugh to hard at some of the question im going to ask. I just installed redhat 7 for the first time last night, so the whole os is new to me:confused: .
So here is a couple question: 1- I installed redhat on my labtop which has a touchpad mouse, but i also have a USB mouse which i thought was picked up when I was installing. Anyways I can only use the mouse on the labtop, so how do I get the other mouse up and running? 2- How do I get on line? Im using shaw highspeed cable line, so where and what do to get it going. So if anyone out there has time to answer these newbie question, ill will be greatful. Thanks: Daza |
Hi Daza ...
Welcome to LQ :} As for your question #1: since this can pretty much depend on the actual hardware I'd ask you to provide more information on your machine and rodent, and also whether you want to use both the touchpad and USB mouse or use the just one at a time. It might also be a good idea to have a look at Linux-Laptops, which has a host of information & links to specific hardware ... As for #2: How do you connect to the cable? USB- cable modem, PCMCIA device? What brand/model is the cable modem? Does the ISP give you a fixed IP or are you using dhcp? Cheers, Tink |
