7.10 is freezing in live mode and on install

When i run the 7.10 or the 7.04 cd in live mode or install the OS it will freeze. I was previously running 7.04 and have just changed some of my hardare. I changed the processor to an Intel Q6600 and an EVGA 8600 GTS 512 MB video card. I am pretty new to linux and I am not sure how to prod=ceed. The install will freeze at totally random times. The furthest the install went was 94%. Sometimes it will not get past time zone. Are there any issues with this hardware and 7.10. I currently dual boot with Vista and XP and have no issues. I used to triple boot with no issues and now can't get linux to install or run.
