Open source drivers?!?!?
I run 3D accel with my mobility 7500 in my Dell C640.
Of course, I use XFree86, not Xorg.
I would assume the open source driver would support 3D on the 9700. The only problem is that the framerates won't be optimized like with the proprietary drivers.
