3D Desktop problem in Mandriva

I am using Mandriva 2008.1. When I configured for 3D desktop, it says "3D Desktop is not available on your system". My graphics card is NV17 [GeForce4 MX 440]. What I should do? Help.

I am not a expert on Mandriva but did you install the Nvidia driver anyhow Geforce4 sound like a Nvidia graphic cart.
