2 Questions in 1

ive been on some linux irc channels asking for help for a couple days since im a HUGE newb to linux (like 2 days). Im running RedHat 8.0 with GNOME enabled and I want to run windows appz and games. I have been told that WINE could be the solution to my problem. Ive searched on the drive and have found a wine folder. so im assuming i have it. since i select all the packages to be installed on installation. My only question is. how do i launch the damn thing ? also . i should be able to play games using this winx emulator right ?

also .. went to the nvidia website to get some drivers. under the linux drivers section it has listed
For Linux and FreeBSD Users:
Linux IA32 Display Drivers
Linux IA64 Display Drivers
Linux AMD64 Drivers
FreeBSD Drivers

which ones do i get.. im running obviously the redhat 8.0 and have a AMD XP 2200+ and a geforce4 vid card ... thanks in advance

Let's say you have a Windows program in /mnt/windows/programs/programname. To run it with wine you need to open a terminal and type
wine /mnt/windows/programs/programname/programname.exe
The problem is that not all the programs work. You need to test it with those you have and see if you can use them with wine.

Drivers: It's tricky... You need: Linux IA32 Display Drivers. Then choose files (you need 2) for the right distro and version (*kernel* and *GLX* file).
