2 Harddrives/2 OS/2x The Fun!

Hiya everybody:)
Want to install Windows alongside already installed Suse, not sure how to access the install CD, since it's Windows, it won't read it or boot floppies. Also, is it best to partition the 2nd harddrive through YAST or will Windows figure that out? It's weird, seems to be showing the sata drive as a scsi, it's connected on a sata supported dual raid motherboard, would that be why? and does it matter for installing an OS? What's also weird is the partition GB's don't add up right. One drive is 120GB and the sata is 160GB. I got the data from YAST-hardware info, but see below the difference. :confused: Lastly, anyone recommend good websites for teaching young kids (1-3 graders) some Linux over the summer?

I can't answer all of your questions, but I recently installed windows (2000pro) alongside Suse, so maybe I can share the experience.
If you have an install CD for windows make sure that you have set your bios to boot from CD. Then boot the CD and go through the windows installation. I found that windows wouldn't install on the partition I prepared from linux so I just formatted it again - no big deal. After the installation but before the configuration of windows you need to reboot. For some reason my PC wouldn't boot in windows (not in linux either) so I started from the windows boot CD again. Now the installation went fine and I ended up with a working windows installation - but no possibility to boot Suse. So I did a little search for my Suse install CD's, booted from them, chose 'repair installation' then repair boot manager. After that everything worked like a charm.

The windows partition tool on the installation disk edits the boot loader so you end up having to repair the boot loader from suse (if you have a boot disk), or else use knoppix.
