1st linux install - many questions

hi
i installed RedHat 7.3 on a Pentium 233, with 128M RAM, 4.3G IDE hard drive and 4.3G SCSI jard drive

the problems:
<b>1.</b> didn't recognize the serial mouse. i unplugged it - it still shows the cursor on the screen after a few boots...
how can i remove the mouse and let it be re-recognized on the next boot?

<b>2.</b> keeps freezing on me! keeps freezing to me and i have to reboot.
could it be that the computer can't handle it?
i installed all the default options as a server

thanks a bunches :o)

1. - You may need to reconfigure your X server (not as difficult as it sounds). You need to drop to a text prompt (try pressing <CTRL>+<ALT>+<BackSpace>) and run Xconfigurator (I think it has a capital X, not sure though). You should be able to specify that you're using a serial mouse (/dev/ttyS0 or /dev/ttyS1).

2. - What is freezing on you? In order to help, we need some more info.
