~/.dmrc file is missing after home folder wipe
My /home folder is in a separate partition, and I accidentally formatted the partition, destroying all my settings and data. I up all my personal files, but didn't realize how many hidden files were in my home folder. I've cleaned up most of the mess, but I repeatedly recieve a message about how the file $HOME/.dmrc is has a permissions error. However, when I tried to fix the permissions, I disovered that the file doesn't indeed exist.
How can I re-create this file? I'm running KDE under GDM. My system is Debian Lenny. |
Just create it in your text editor of choice and make the content look like:
