[ubuntu] links in menu "applications'
Hello,
I'd like to change the path of a link that I have in application->Internet. How do I do that ? Thanks |
Use either "alacarte" or the "gnome-menu-editor" to modify your menu.
good luck |
Can you please give me more details ? I don't know what "alacarte" or the "gnome-menu-editor" are, nor where to find them.
|
type that command in your shell. then a window open.
Now select a link and move where ever you want. for example if you want to move pidgin link, go to internet -> select "pidgin" -> cut go to your required location -> paste |
If you type "alacarte" in your shell... this windows opens. click to see the image
|
Ok, thanks.

This alacarte thing is great. Can I change the name of a menu (from example rename "Internet" to "test") ?
And how to access the "gnome-menu-editor" you were talking about ? |
KDE allows to change of menu item, but gnome i haven't tested before.
