[KDE] clicking in edit box does not select all automatically
is there an option to change this? because I am used to Windows. Now it requires extra work like clicking somewhere in between, or select all with the mouse, for example/

Just hit CTRL A and that will select all for you.

What specific "edit box" are you referring to and what distro/version are you running?
