[FC1] Most of KDE main menu items disappeared

Hi!

Today I noticed that most of my KDE main menu items have disappeared in all user accounts. What to do to avoid reinstalling? Is there any way to recover previous state of the menu?

Unless you kept a backup, i doubt it, you could try looking in the ~/.kde/ for each user or /opt/kde for everyone.

you can manually add items back in though, there's a section in control centre

Hi!

I have found out that there is a symlink '/usr/share/applink-redhat' that points to '/var/lib/menu/kde/Applications' which seems to be responsible for main menu structure. I recovered '/var/lib/menu/kde/Applications' but... every next KDE start this directory gets removed. Why!
