[Debian Problem] phpBB3 forums wont trigger installation

Hello everyone,

As the title indicates, i can't get to run the installation feature of phpBB3 forums. I have installed Apache,MariaDB for setting up the forums. When i go to the site i want to run the forums [as followed many tutorials] or This is what appears when i go to my site.

Has anyone experienced this kind of problem before? If so, how to fix it? I really need the forums.

the php page is opened as text.
you have to tell apache to interpret the php language, so it runs the page as a script.
maybe you have to install php, with the appropriate apache modules, then reboot?

before you ask more, give us some basic info about your setup.
distro, hardware etc.

is apache working? does it serve html pages?

most likely phpbb3 has extensive documentation and you just need to re-read it, follow all the steps.

Also, you told apache to filter pages using php? You can do this by including a php configuration file in your apache configuration file. Ex: "Include /etc/httpd/mod_php.conf" in apache configuration file (usually /etc/httpd/httpd.conf). And of course, restart your apache daemon: "/etc/init.d/httpd restart" or ". /etc/rc.d/rc.httpd restart" on Slackware systems.
