Yes, I did download the patch and installed it.....does it need to be installed AFTER i mounted the drive? I installed it before.

Just install it once and you are done. Unless you reinstall the Redhat OS, then you need to put it back on before accessing the NTFS stuff.

I was basically being cautious. I have read where people have tried to write to NTFS and lost their XP. That was before the support though. I have read that the patch works.

You should be OK.
