'Totem' dvd player problem

Hi Everyone!

I finally got my Ubuntu up & running. YAY! I tried to play a DVD and the following message popped-up: 'dvd:///media/dvd recorder' no URI handler implemented for dvd. What does that mean? How can I get my Dvd's and other media to play? Thank you for your help, David
