$path

Hi,

Where do I set the $PATH on the SUSE 8.0 distribution?

Thanks in advance

Assuming you're using bash as your shell, you could set it in ~/.bashrc or ~/.bash_profile

The global path (the one for all users) is normally set in /etc/profile. You can make changes specific for a specific user by modifying .bash_profile in the users home directory.
