Hi everybody

Can someone please help me?? My printer is fooling me over and over again. Every time i try to print something the printer stops printing halfway and spits out the whole sheet of paper, next thing that happens is the printer starts erraticly feeding throug the whole stack of paper without printing anything. I can't stop this unless i disconnect the printer from its powersource. even pressing the power switch wont help. I tried deleting the task from the printerque but that does not seem to help either.
I am using a HPdeskjet 656c.

I don't know the distro or the printer. i did once spend a couple hours trying to get an old HP laserwriter to print postscript, which it of course didn't support.

I use red hat and I now have most of the apps printing correctly, but some still misbehave. I did have a similar problem with my system printing seemingly random characters on 1/4 to 1/2 page then spitting it out. Repeatting said behavior until I unplugged it. Think I was sending the wrong format.
