Hi All,
I have a server turnover to me by the previous sys administrator. The yahoo messenger has been blocked and i want to enable it.

My questions are :

1. How can i enable it?.
2. We're should i change the configuration?.

Please reply... .. i'm stuck here.

When you say its been blocked, can you give more information about the symptoms. If nothing is obvious, you could try :
- running it from the command line and seeing what error messages come up
- looking at your log files while it is running (e.g. /var/log/messages)

how do you activate yahoo messager?

try to make a telnet connection to the server scs.yahoo.com on port 5050.
if telnet cannot make a connection, then it is likely your sirewall is blocking it.

just add an allow rule for that server on that port.

please check for the rules which what site are blocked .go for the policies check that make new rules.
