Hello All
I have a few computers most running win98. I set them up to use netbios to talk to each other. I did not bind tcp/ip to client for ms networks or file and print sharing. This was recommended at Steve Gibson's web site.
I currently have RedHat 9 on a laptop and would like to share files with the windows machines. I installed xsmbrowser and can not get it to see the windows machines. I can ping all of them just can not see them.
I have been reading quite a bit and am burnt out at this time.
I read about a program called swat that I would like to try. The only one I can find is i386 and I believe I am running i686. I have installed the wrong programs before and pulled my hair out getting rid of them (getting good at that though hehe). Also should swat match with the samba I have installed.
Any help getting me going on this netbios thing would be appreciated.
