XP Authentication on Novell

Hello all,
My school is using a Novell server to manage logins and recently aquired some systems with WinXP. We do not (and will not!) create all ~200 users that might come in contact with them. My fellow sysadmin mentioned that there was a Linux solution to get NT - based machines to authenticate via a Novell user database, through ipxutils and ncpfs. Any advice or solutions?
