Question xdm

Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to connect to an X-server over xdmcp via the internet?

Thanks in advance

Yes it is, however you need to make sure that it is through an ssh tunnel, to make it more secure. Also, Im not sure about the firewall rules needed, but your firewall configuration should allow for a few ports to be open.

You should be prepared for a very slow refresh rate :)
or look at VNC for a remote desktop solution.

If you're piping it through an ssh tunnel, you only need to open port 22 on your firewall.
