Xandros 2.0/Windows XP networking?

Hey all

I have a problem that's been annoying me for too long. I've been trying for ages to get a network set up between my two computers. Now by no means am I new to computers, but recently i've decided to try new things.

Right. I just want to know how to set up a network between Xandros 2.0 Open circulation edition and Windows XP professinal ed. I am using a crossover ethernet cable as I want to share my internet connection as well as share files and printers. My computer running Windows XP is the one which has broadband internet (DSL) and I wish to use it on my second computer. My ISP is BT (NOT BT Yahoo).

I desperately need help. Everything i've tried so far hasn't worked.

Any help greatly appreciated

Cheers

well assuming you have two ethernet cards in the xp box that you are gonna share the connection to
you need to do this
set up your first nic or as i shall call it now nic1 for dsl
set up nic2 to share its connection then give it the ip: 192.168.0.1
then fire up xandros and configure eth1 to connect to 192.168.0.1 as a gateway with an ip of 192.168.0.2 then setup dns to be 192.168.0.1
if all goes well you are done.
also you will be able to browse it in your network folder in xandros, it being your xp box if you have shares open for the guest user which is what you log in as lol
