wvdial error

I can't seem to dial into my isp with USRobotics 56k modem. It seems to almost work. I think it fails because I'm assigned IP address 000.000.000.000, instead of a valid one:

--> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.42
--> Initializing modem.
--> Sending: AT
AT
OK
--> Sending: ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
OK
--> Modem initialized.
--> Dialing Bennett .
--> Sending: ATDT6340545
--> Waiting for carrier.
ATDT6340545
CONNECT 19200/ARQ/V34/LAPM/V42BIS
--> Carrier detected. Waiting for prompt.

None of the graphical dialers even get this close.
