Unhappy wu-ftpd problem

Help?!...Im trying to setup and wu-ftpd server on my linux machine. I have no trouble getting in and uploading files from my internal network but once I try to access it from outside I am unable to upload files. I am however able to login and traverse the directories...does anyone have a clue whats going on ?

Why would it let the same user uplaod from the internal networkl and not from outside the firewall??

Thanks for any help

Maybe you 've set an ip range that is allowed or not allowed to upload from outside, check your configurations. I can' t think smthing else i 've never tried this server.

Good Luck

isnt wu-ftp unsecure? just my 2 cents, but you may want to do you
ftp over ssh (sftp) and use secure clients to do FTP stuff. and unspawn
would recommend that you use proFTP (dunno why but i think i recall
him saying that....and most of what he says can be trusted if not all).
