Wrong host name

I have Sendmail up and running on my machine with Slack 10.2 and before I get grief about using Sendmail I have some questions. I can send outgoing mail from the machine but it comes from an address user@toothless.virgingrounds.net and I think this is due to some faked answers I inputed during Slackware setup regarding the computers network. I believe it boils down to the fact that the machine is named toothless and the domain is virgingrounds.net. Not sure of this. So it has two questions. First, how do I check the machines name and domain? Secondly, how would I change this so that mail from this machine came from user@toothlessrebel.org?

Think I found this issue. hostname and dnsdomainname commands alongside the /etc/hosts file.

OK, I messed up and ended up re-installing a sendmail package. Now, whenever I try to mail a user on the localhost the mail turns into dead.letter in my home folder. What should I look at for a fix?
