Wrong firefox over SSH

When I log in to my server via ssh and type firefox, the local firefox is started instead of the one on the server. How is this even possible?
All the other programs I've tried from ssh are started on the server.

If you have any _local_ firefox running then __close them first__ and now launch "remote firefox " in the server. Now launch the local firefox. Both will co-exist together. I don't know the reason for this - but this is what I do...
