Write Filtered pcap file Showing Just IP Header Information to Disk

Hello,

I am working on 10Gpbs systems. I am trying to write a filtered out pcap file to my disk to show all traffic across the network. Basically, I just want to write IP header information to a pcap file and filter out all the data. I would think this is possible but I have been not been able to find anything useful on the net so far. Perhaps someone here knows how to do this or has some further ideas.

Try "snaplen" of the the IP header length (20 bytes)?
