WMP11 Linksys Network Card & RH8

I am using:
-Linksys WMP11 PCI Network Card
-WinXP/RH8 dual boot system
-Standard (working) Linksys Router
-Drivers and directions from http://prism2.unixguru.raleigh.nc.us/

I have followed all the directions on that site for my card, and when I modprobe prism2_pci I am told that wlan0 isn't ready... and during boot I get messages that make it seem as if it isn't detecting my device.

Is there any way to make sure my device is being recognized, or any reasons why it wouldnt be. (The new Wireless card works great in WinXP, but this card, like my old Linksys (tulip) card, is hell to get working in Linux)

If anybody is using a WMP11 PCI with Redhat, or has any ideas on how to check if Linux is recognizing the card, and if not how to make it recognize it I'd be very thankful.

(by the way, I have many ways to get large (> 1.44mb) files to my linux partition, I currently have a 100MB zip drive set up, and If for some reason anybody needs me to move a larger file I could free up a 2gig Jaz drive from another PC)

so this is because Linksys decided to move to Broadcom chipsets.. bleh..

Is there anybody who has any clue how long it'll take Linksys or some independent developer to write drivers for this card.. I can't believe it's not supported... I've had it with Linksys, they seem to drop Linux support randomly throughout a products lifetime, the same thing happened with another card I had, the LNE100TX.
