Question wirelss network with wpc11 and wdt11

I am tyring to get a wireless network started on my redhat linux 7.2. I am using linksys wpc11 and wdt11 adapter. I have no idea on where to even start. I've trying to install the wlan rpm's but i don't know which ones are the right ones for my computer. I've installed the rpms but don't know how to turn it on or anything. I wouldn't be surprised if i did it all wrong. Can someone point me in the right direction on what i need to install and how to get this working.

linux-wlan

The WPC11 is based on an Intersil card, so the wlan-ng drivers should work...(at least I hope they do because I'll be purchasing one tomorrow for this very reason ;-)

You can get more information at:

I am trying to make working the same setup as you.

For now, I can tell you to compile and install pcmcia_cs and linux-wlan-ng.

From the linux-wlan-ng package, you will need to compile the PLX driver which is the driver to use with the WDT11+WPC11 combo.

You will need to load manually (or from boot scripts) the module: prism2_plx and configure it with the wlanctl-ng command. Look at the README file with the linux-wlan-ng package.

What is unclear for me now, is how the /etc/pcmcia/*.opts files can be used. My setup is not completed. So, if you have any results or informations useful, post them here as I will post more comments if any as my setup progress.
