Wireless Router stopped working, TP Link.
Good day, my TP Link wirless router, a model that reaches speeds of 500 Mbps has stopped being faithful. Model TL-PA411KIT
It is connected by ethernet cable to my Modem, cable. It matches with and identical second piece in my room, ten metres away. The lights are all on. It workled well with Mint and an ASUS eee pc laptop. I plug the device by ethernet to my room computers, the ASUS ee pc and the ASUS eeebox. It stopped working, no connection shows in Firefox.
But mysteriously it started playing youtube. Then stopped again. I want to make it reliable.
So last time in Xandros OS youtube worked. XP, nothing, in Ubuntu, off and on, Ubuntu Studio, it actually briefly connected to the wireless directly, but that is a another problem, now there no Ubuntu Studio connection via the ethernet to my modem via the TP Link router.
Hoping to fix this even if I need to upgrade my Router model.
Please assist.

What you have are power line adapters and not a wireless router. They allow you to use the AC electrical wiring in your house instead of running dedicated ethernet wiring.
The adapters are OS independent.
Difficult to say exactly what is wrong. I would first verify the ethernet cables that connect on both devices are still good. You can try bypassing the adapters by connecting the computer directly into the router/MODEM to make sure it works. Since you mention wireless I assume that you have an actual wireless router.
Unplug / replug the adapters to see if that will re-sync them. You might have other electrical noise on the line which interferes with the signal, a bad ground or ground fault. You can try resetting the units. And last, one of the adapters just might be going bad.

OK, I unplugged both adaptors, exchanged them, accidently dropping one, and after, XP, Xandros and Ubuntu Studio all connect to the net.
