Question wireless router problems

Hi everyone,

I just finally got my broadcom wireless card to start working on kubuntu, however when I try to conect to my belkin 54g wireless router it does not appear in the list of available networks. Is there something that I haven't done that I need to do? I've been working with this thing for a long time, and I'm finally making a little progress. Let me know if theres any info you need. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My first question would be how are you sure the wireless device is working if you aren't able to connect to the router? Does it show other access points when you scan?

Yes. there are a few other access points that show up, but mine is not in there with them.
