wireless -no signal

I decided to buy wireless network hardware. As I am rather new to wireless management, I decided to install PCLinuxOS hoping that everything will be detected automatically, and I think it did.
I've got:
- Linksys WRT54GL router
- Edimax EW7128G Pci wireless adapter

Code:
07:07.0 Network controller: RaLink RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI

Code:
wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0E:2E:F5:37:4F
          inet addr:192.168.1.105 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::20e:2eff:fef5:374f/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:2150 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:7436 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:302448 (295.3 KiB) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
          Interrupt:28

Code:
/sbin/lsmod | grep rt
rt61 207624 1

/etc/resolv.conf

Code:
nameserver 194.168.4.100
nameserver 194.168.8.100
nameserver 192.168.1.1 # my router's address
search 8\025\221|\226\025\221|\353\006\221|
It seems that everything is recognised and I'm connected to my network but signal is 0%.

I even installed winxp to test if perhaps the hardware is faulty, but no, everything works fine (signal 100%)

As I said I don't know much about wireless networks, so perhaps I'm missing something

thanks

So everything is working, apart from the signal strength? In that case, I'd guess it's just the driver doesn't support reporting signal strengths. Have you tried updating drivers? I have this problem with a usb wireless adapter that runs with the zd1211rw driver. Not a problem for me really,
